Manager John Farrell said before Sunday nights game against the Yankees that Baileys surgery will be performed by Mets team physician Dr. David Altchek on Wednesday in New York. Bailey was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday night with a strained shoulder. The reliever missed almost all of last season after right thumb surgery during spring training.
