DENVER (AP) The third-string goalie nicknamed ”Hamburglar” stole a game for Colorado in Nashville. No time for Andrew Hammond to revel in his thievery Custom Philadelphia Flyers Jerseys , though. Game 6 awaits Sunday at the Pepsi Center. Once again, the Avalanche and their surprise goalie with the catchy moniker – he used to have a mask with the McDonald’s “Hamburglar” character on the side – will try to ward off elimination trailing Nashville 3-2 in the first-round series.”Backs against the wall in an elimination game seem to bring out the best in us,” Hammond said Saturday after the team arrived home.In Philadelphia, Flyers goalie Michal Neuvirth faces the same kind of pressure Sunday with his team down 3-2 heading home against Pittsburgh. He stopped 30 shots in Game 5 to help the Flyers extend that series.”I’ve been practicing well and feeling good about my game,” said Neuvirth, who’s been banged up this season. ”I believe in myself that I can bring my `A’ game on the big stage.”Hammond certainly brought out his best in what Colorado coach Jared Bednar called ”one of the biggest games he’s had in his career.”The 30-year-old Hammond turned back 44 shots from the top-seeded Predators in Game 5. This after he was thrust into action for the third period of Game 4 when Jonathan Bernier went down with a lower-body injury. Bernier was filling in with starter Semyon Varlamov sidelined by a knee injury. To think, Hammond was essentially a throw-in player during the three-team deal that sent Matt Duchene to Ottawa in November. The Avalanche already had a surplus of goalies, so Hammond spent time in the American Hockey League. Eventually, Hammond was called up, but before making an appearance with Colorado he suffered a concussion. And once he recovered www.officialpenguinsproshop.com , he was briefly sent back to the AHL.Hammond’s only NHL game of the season came on March 28 against Philadelphia, stopping 31 shots in a 2-1 loss.On Friday, Hammond made his first playoff start since April 17, 2015, with Ottawa.”I won’t lie. There are days you wonder if it would happen again for you,” Hammond said. ”As cliche as it is, you stick to the process and try to get better. Fortunately, it all worked out last night. We’re not satisfied, though. We want to keep going and win tomorrow night, and extend the series Pittsburgh Penguins T-Shirts Authentic , and go back to Nashville and play another meaningful hockey game.”The Predators now find themselves trying to avoid becoming the fifth Presidents’ Trophy winners to be eliminated in the first round since 2005-06.”There’s a lot of confidence in the room and belief in the room that we can go to Colorado and win a game,” Predators coach Peter Laviolette said.ABOUT THAT NICKNAMEHammond is ambivalent about being called the ”Hamburglar,” a nickname that’s followed him since his college days at Bowling Green.”To be honest, I don’t know if anyone actually calls me that to my face outside of maybe fans,” said Hammond, who had the “Hamburglar” character on his mask while in Ottawa. ”I have no problem with it. I think the side story it’s taken on has been pretty funny. It adds to it.”Does his family call him that?”No,” he laughed. ”No.”ROAD SCHOLARSThe road team is 4-1 in the Penguins-Flyers series as it shifts back to Philadelphia. Even more, the Penguins are 4-0 in Philly this year, winning by a combined score of 20-4, including 10-1 in Games 3 and 4.”I’m not a huge believer you carry momentum over from one game to the next Pittsburgh Penguins Hoodies Authentic ,” Flyers coach Dave Hakstol said. ”You have to re-generate it. We played some really good hockey games at home down the stretch. We didn’t do it the last two.”ON THE MENDThe Penguins could have forward Patric Hornqvist back in the lineup after he skated with the team Saturday. He’s missed the last two games with an upper-body injury.Hornqvist has 20 career playoff goals, including one in this series.READY TO GOVegas coach Gerard Gallant plans to pick up the intensity at practice, maybe with some 3-on-3 scrimmages featuring a little contact. He doesn’t want his team to become too rusty given the layoff in between series. The expansion Golden Knights could go more than a week between finishing the sweep of Los Angeles on Tuesday and starting their second-round series against San Jose.”In a perfect world, I’d soon have three or four days off and get back at it,” Gallant said. ”I’m sure San Jose is the same way. Any coach would say the same thing.”—AP Sports Writers Teresa M. We are a good team and we’ve worked hard all season. We’ve got to get creative.”The Kings played more than 56 minutes with just five defensemen after Derek Forbort was injured when he was checked into the boards by Gabriel Bourque. Alec Martinez played a career-high 32:11, one of four Kings defensemen to play at least 20 minutes.”You ask big minutes out of those guys, to dig in and play with different partners, possibly play the wrong side and different matchups than you’re accustomed to,” Kings coach John Stevens said. ”I thought that effort on the back end in terms of how far they dug in and how hard they competed was excellent.”Stevens could not update the condition of Forbort, who left the dressing room on crutches and unable to put any weight on his right leg. While their defensive depth was pushed to the limits, the Kings got some much-needed offense from their bottom two lines.Los Angeles took a 1-0 lead at 9:29 of the first period thanks to an opportunistic goal by Mitchell. Bernier was caught by surprise when Nate Thompson’s shot hit the boards and bounced into the crease, jumping into the air to avoid sending it back into his own net. Mitchell charged in to score his sixth of the season.Brown made it 2-0 at 12:32 Custom Pittsburgh Penguins Jerseys , scoring his 24th on a wrist shot from the edge of the left circle.Clifford scored on a wraparound two minutes into the third period to restore a two-goal lead for the Kings after Kerfoot cut the deficit to 2-1 at 4:33 of the second, going top shelf over Quick’s glove for his second goal in two games.Clifford ended a run of 12 games without a goal. Mitchell hadn’t scored since Feb. 20.”You see what guys are willing to do this time of year and emotionally invest in a game,” Stevens said. ”I thought everybody was willing to dig in when the game mattered. We all know the enormity of this game for both teams, and we knew it was going to take a second and third effort on a lot of plays to get it done.”NOTES: The Kings swept the season series against the Avalanche, limiting them to one goal in each of the three games. … Avalanche forward Colin Wilson had an assist after missing the previous five games with a lower-body injury.UP NEXTAvalanche: Visit the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night.Kings: Host the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night.—

LAS VEGAS (AP) It was a great time for Vegas Golden Knights owner Bill Foley to visit the locker room after their latest win.The Golden Knights had just beaten one of the NHL’s Original Six teams Adidas Jaycob Megna Jersey , set another record for an expansion team in its inaugural season, and they also leapfrogged the Tampa Bay Lightning for the top spot in the NHL standings with 82 points.Reilly Smith had two goals and an assist to lead Vegas to a 6-3 win over the struggling Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night.Article continues below ...”It’s fantastic for us, it’s fantastic for the team, it’s fantastic for the fans – I love it,” Foley said. ”It’s really unbelievable and I wish Reilly would have gotten that last goal for a hat trick, because he deserves it.”Foley admitted when the season started he didn’t think he’d be doing interviews this late in the season, but with his team clearly headed to the playoffs, he didn’t mind fielding questions.”I knew we had a good team,” Foley said. ”When we did the expansion draft, it was a lot of hard work, and we put a lot of planning into it. We had five mock draft sessions in the expansion draft. We knew what we were getting. The result is what we have.”What Vegas has, is a team that improved to 22-4-2 at T-Mobile Arena, matching the 1979-80 Hartford Whalers (22-12-6) for the most home wins by a team in its first season.Since their 3-2 loss in Montreal on Nov. 7, the Golden Knights are 30-10-3 while the Canadiens are 15-21-6.Brad Hunt, Tomas Nosek, Ryan Carpenter, Nate Schmidt also scored for Vegas, while Jonathan Marchessault had three assists. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 30 shots Adidas Max Jones Jersey , including a highlight-reel glove save on Charles Hudon skating in on a breakaway in the third period, to improve to 19-6-2.”We just want to play the same way that’s made us successful and keep going forward and not kind of relax a bit, we just want to stay with it,” Hunt said. ”We still got a lot of work to do. We just take it day by day, we’re not looking too far forward.”Hudon, Nikita Scherbak and Jonathan Drouin scored for Montreal. Antti Niemi started and gave up three goals on six shots before being replaced by Carey Price midway through the first period. Price, who came into the game having lost eight straight road games, finished with 24 saves.Montreal, which fell to 2-5-1 this month, has the league’s worst road record at 8-19-1. The Canadiens have lost 11 of their last 12 away from home and have been outscored 41-16 during the slide.”It’s always tough when you lose,” Scherbak said. ”We’re trying to stick together. We have a great group of guys here, everybody supports each other, and nobody is happy to lose.”Smith got the scoring going with his seventh power-play goal of the season after taking Schmidt’s pass and one-time a laser past Niemi 2:16 into the game. The Golden Knights scored with the man advantage for the 12th time in 13 games, finishing 1 for 2 on the night. Vegas also improved to 24-3-0 when scoring the first goal of the game and their .889 win percentage when recording the opening mark leads the NHL.”First goal has been huge for us this year,” Smith said. ”Our record is pretty outstanding when we score the first one. But it’s teams like that, if you let them stay around, they’re the ones that are going to make you pay. Those leads are huge at the start and they help us out.”Hudon tied it a couple of minutes later, as he skated past Hunt and used a nifty move to beat Fleury. But Hunt made amends for losing Hudon down the boards when he drilled a slap shot from the point to put Vegas ahead. Nosek’s goal made it 3-1 and sent Niemi to the bench.Scherbak got his first goal of the season to cut the lead to 3-2 with 8:13 left in the opening period.Carpenter scored his fifth goal in seven games 3:07 into the second period Adidas Andrej Sustr Jersey , and Smith got his second of the game 37 seconds later to make it 5-2.Schmidt got his fifth on a pass from Smith to give Vegas a four-goal lead four minutes into the third.Just 13 seconds into a power play, Drouin fired a slap shot into the back of the net at 8:44 to close the scoring.NOTES: Montreal D Joe Morrow played in his 100th career game, while F Paul Byron played in his 100th consecutive game. … When Price entered the game he tied Patrick Roy for second in team history for most games played by a goalie. … Canadiens C Tomas Plekanec moved into seventh place for the most games played in team history. … Golden Knights defenseman Luca Sbisa is now one point away from 100 for his career.UP NEXTMontreal: At Philadelphia on Tuesday.Vegas: Hosts Anaheim on Monday. OTTAWA — Carey Price can move into a tie for second place on the all-time list of Montreal Canadiens goaltending wins Saturday night at Canadian Tire Centre.By defeating the Ottawa Senators, Price will record victory number 289, same as Patrick Roy and behind only Jacques Plante, who won 314 games. It will be the 563rd game for Price, while Roy played 551 and Plante played 556.Article continues below ...“That’s a statistic I can definitely be proud of,” Price told reporters after practice on Friday, per NHL.com. “I’ve played with a lot of great hockey players and on a lot of good teams in my career. It helped me along the way to get here. There are a lot of people in my life who have helped me get to this point, and I’m very grateful for all of them.”Plagued by injuries in two of the past three seasons, the 31-year old Price has looked sharp through four starts in 2018-19. Into Ottawa he takes a 2-1-1 record with a 2.24 goals against average and .912 save percentage, giving the Canadiens (4-1-1) a little bit of their swagger back.“He’s a dominant player that other teams have to prepare for,” Brendan Gallagher, who has been teammates with Price for his entire, seven-season career, told NHL.com. “With him, it’s come to a point where you just expect brilliance every single night. He’s been through some ups and downs, he’s dealt with adversity Adidas Alex Galchenyuk Jersey , but he’s handled it as well as anyone can. What he’s meant to this team and organization is impressive. It’s fun to be his teammate.”The Canadiens have won their last three games defeating the Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings and, on Wednesday, downing the St. Louis Blues 3-2. The Senators (3-2-1) have won two in a row, beating the Los Angeles Kings and Dallas Stars by scores of 5-1 and 4-1, respectively. The Senators suffered a significant injury Monday against the Stars, however.Impressive first round pick Brady Tkachuk tore a leg ligament during the first period – but finished the game – and is expected to miss a month. Taking his place alongside Chris Tierney and Mark Stone on a line that was enjoying success will be Ryan Dzingel, who missed the last two games with a lower body injury.Dzingel, the team’s co-goal scoring leaders last season with 23, had two goals and two assists in four outings before coming out of the lineup.“We had a lot of time off,” Dzingel said. “It was just a precautionary thing to make sure it didn’t stretch out for the whole season. I feel a lot better now.“It was a full team decision and I’m glad they helped me out with that. Guys who are playing don’t want to take time off, so it’s hard to say yes to that. But it was a good idea.”The fact that the Canadiens and Senators are off to winning starts is unexpected in what is considered a transition year for both teams but Ottawa coach Guy Boucher doesn’t see the Canadiens that way, however.“They’ve played terrific, but I’m not surprised,” Boucher said. “When I sit in my office and look at their lineup, I don’t know why people were not expecting them to be good. They’ve got four solid lines of good hockey players that are coming at you, with a terrific goaltender.”

The host Florida Panthers and the visiting Anaheim Ducks — two franchises that entered the NHL together in 1993 — will meet on Wednesday night at the BB&T Center.Anaheim has been much more successful as a franchise Ondrej Palat Jersey , winning the Stanley Cup in 2007 as well as taking six division crowns and two conference championships. The Ducks have been especially good this decade, qualifying for the playoffs six straight years, winning the Pacific Division five of the past six seasons and topping 100 points in each of the five years.Article continues below ...However, the Ducks were swept out of the first round of the playoffs by the San Jose Sharks last season. This season, the Ducks endured a seven-game losing streak, including five defeats in regulation. They are last in the NHL in scoring, and Ducks coach Randy Carlyle has asked his team to play shut-down defense.“With the personnel we have in place, we have to win 2-1 or 1-0,” he told The Orange County Register. “It’s as simple as that — and any more offense is a bonus.”The Ducks (11-10-5) followed that plan on Tuesday night, defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-1.Meanwhile, the Panthers have never won the Stanley Cup. They won a conference championship in 1996 — the greatest season in club history even though they came up short in the Stanley Cup Finals — and they earned division titles in 2012 and 2016.Last season, the Panthers started slowly and then got hot starting on Jan. 30, finishing one point short of a playoff berth. This season, the Panthers are off to another slow start at 9-9-4. They started a crucial eight-game homestand on Saturday against the Chicago Blackhawks Ryan Callahan Jersey , and they gave up a tying goal with 1.8 seconds left in regulation. The Blackhawks then won in overtime. On Monday, the Panthers were facing near-certain defeat, losing 3-2 to the New Jersey Devils in the final two minutes. However, Florida’s Jonathan Huberdeau scored with 1:29 left in regulation to tie the score 3-3, and Mike Hoffman scored in overtime to exorcise the demons from the Chicago game.“With the adversity we faced against Chicago, it effects your mind and mindset,” Panthers coach Bob Boughner admitted. “Thinking we should’ve won (against the Blackhawks) and we didn’t was tough.”Huberdeau said the Devils win should give the Panthers a new outlook.“It feels good for our confidence,” he said. “The (Chicago) game hurt us at the end, and we just needed the two points. We need to keep going.”Florida’s main problem is on defense as they entered the week ranked next-to-last in the league in goals allowed. The Panthers are killing just 75 percent of their power plays — only three teams are worse — and they are without their top goalie, Roberto Luongo, who has missed two straight games due to a lower-body injury. In addition, center Vincent Trocheck, who was an All-Star center in 2017 and scored 54 goals the past two years, is out with a fractured ankle.Backup goalie James Reimer http://www.officiallightningprostore.com/authentic-adidas-ryan-mcdonagh-jersey , who got Florida’s win on Monday, will likely be in the nets, and the Panthers offense is led by five players who all have between 20 and 23 points: Hoffman, Evgenii Dadonov, Huberdeau, captain Aleksander Barkov and power-play quarterback Keith Yandle.Hoffman leads the team with 12 goals.Meanwhile, the Ducks are without their top two defensemen — Cam Fowler (broken jaw) and Hampus Lindholm (lower body).Offensively, no Ducks player has more than six goals, and players who used to be snipers such as Corey Perry (knee) and Patrick Eaves (back) are on injured reserve and past their primes.Perry, 33, has gone from 33 goals to 19 to 17 in the past three years, and he will likely miss this entire season.Eaves, 34, scored 32 goals in 2016-2017 but has played just five games since. Improved road play and contributions from the top line have the Colorado Avalanche off to a hot start. The Avalanche close a four-game Eastern road trip on Monday night against the Philadelphia Flyers. After starting the swing with a shootout loss to the New York Rangers on Tuesday Womens Steven Stamkos Jersey , Colorado (5-1-2) rebounded with a pair of wins behind Gabriel Landeskog.Article continues below ...The Avalanche captain, who scored against the Rangers, registered his third career hat trick in Thursday’s 5-3 victory over the New Jersey Devils and added two goals in Saturday’s 3-1 triumph against the Carolina Hurricanes.“I don’t know if I am doing anything different other than working hard and trying to get into scoring areas,” Landeskog told the team’s official website.Linemates Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen are riding season-opening eight-game point streaks with MacKinnon amassing eight goals and six assists and Rantanen registering two goals and 12 assists.“We had a decent first five or six games, but not great,” MacKinnon said. “The last two or three have been awesome. We’re controlling the play a lot more.”The club record for longest points streak at the start of a season is nine by defenseman John-Michael Liles in 2010-11.Landeskog, in his eighth season, scored the game-winning goal in Colorado’s 5-2 victory over the Flyers on Oct. 6 in Denver. But getting on the scoresheet in Philadelphia has been a struggle for the Avs’ high-scoring trio.Landeskog has two assists, while MacKinnon has a goal and three assists in five career games in Philadelphia. Rantanen has one goal in two games at Wells Fargo Center.Philipp Grubauer was in net for each of Colorado’s last two wins, and made a career-high 42 saves against Carolina. However, the former Washington Capitals backup surrendered 13 goals en route to losses in two starts versus the Flyers in 2017-18.That means the Avs may have Semyon Varlamov between the pipes on Monday. Varlamov, also a former Capital, has stopped 68 of 74 shots while winning each of his last two starts against Philadelphia.Varlamov made 35 saves versus the Flyers earlier this month.Last season, Colorado was 15-19-7 on the road and had five losing streaks of at least three games. While it’s still early Tyler Johnson Jersey , the Avs are 3-1-1 away from home.Philadelphia (4-4-0) is looking for consecutive wins for the first time this season after pulling away late to beat the Devils 5-2 on Saturday.Jakub Voracek, who had two assists earlier in the contest, scored with 3:10 to play to snap a 2-2 tie. Wayne Simmonds and Scott Laughton tacked on empty-netters.“I think our team has a good mindset on taking the positives from even the bad games and moving on, and I think that’s what we did (Thursday in a 6-3 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets) and (Saturday), and right now we’re just going to try to build on this game and put a streak together,” defenseman Ivan Provorov told the team’s official website.Simmonds, the club leader with six goals, scored twice with an assist in his last two home games against the Avalanche.Brian Elliott, who made 30 saves in the loss to Colorado earlier in the month, is 1-2-0 with a 4.04 goals-against average at home this season. Backup Calvin Pickard (2-1-0, 4.73) was drafted by the Avalanche in the second round of the 2010 NHL Draft.Philadelphia gave up two power-play goals against New Jersey, and yielded five man-advantage markers in four home games this season.Colorado has scored at least one power-play goal in all five road games.

Pominville, who reached the milestone against the Senators on Thursday, scored two goals Saturday.“For us, obviously, it’s been a tough few years in terms of our play at home,” Sabres center and captain Jack Eichel told reporters afterward. Buffalo entered 2018-19 with 72 home wins in the last five seasons, during which it finished with the worst overall record in the NHL three times.“I think that’s something we’re trying to take more pride in, is playing better in front of our home fans,” Eichel said. “It was great to see them pack the building for ‘Pommer’s’ ceremony.”The Rangers (5-7-1) will be playing in front of their home fans for the first time since Oct. 23, when they beat the Florida Panthers 5-2. The Nashville Predators have been dominant against the Anaheim Ducks in recent years Dylan DeMelo Jersey Womens , and the top team in the Western Conference will try to continue that trend when the teams meet Monday night at Honda Center. The Predators (13-3-0) have won two playoff series in the past three seasons against the Ducks and have gone 6-2-1 in regular-season meetings in that span. The odds appear stacked against the Ducks again Monday as the Predators have won five in a row for the second time this season to bring the NHL’s best record into the game.Article continues below ...The Ducks have dropped nine of their past 11 games (2-7-2) to erase a promising 5-1-1 start. They were beset by injuries during the early part of the season, but as key players have begun returning to the lineup, the Ducks have been unable to turn the corner and start building a winning streak.Anaheim posted emotional wins in the past week against the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets and Calgary Flames, only to lose one-sided games to the Los Angeles Kings and Minnesota Wild the next time they took the ice. After the 5-1 loss to the Wild on Friday night, some veterans on the Ducks questioned their mental approach.“We gained a little bit of momentum with how we’ve been playing, and we knew it was going to be a game that we needed to play tight. We needed to earn it,” Ducks forward Andrew Cogliano said. “That just shows we weren’t willing to do anything to win the game.”The Predators swept all three meetings against the Ducks last season. In the final meeting on March 8 in Nashville, Anaheim center Ryan Kesler and Predators center Ryan Johansen dropped their gloves late in the second period after Nashville scored short-handed to go up 3-0.Johansen said after the 4-2 victory that Kesler had been requesting a fight for most of the game. Then in August, Kesler tweeted for the first time in months, randomly asking Johansen how his summer training was going Gabriel Gagne Jersey Womens , and if he’d like to “meet me in the streets before we get going on the ice.”Johansen simply replied, “I’ll pay for your parking.”Presumably, that meeting never took place, so Monday night will be the first time they’ve faced each other since last March. The Predators were without forward Calle Jarnkrok in their 5-4 overtime victory at the Dallas Stars on Saturday because of a lower-body injury. He participated in warmups, so there’s a good chance he’s close to returning. One area the Predators hope to improve is their power play. They came into Sunday with a 13.6-percent success rate, tied with the Montreal Canadiens for 30th in the NHL. Nashville finished 12th in the league last year at 21.2 percent.Nashville defenseman Roman Josi scored a power-play goal with 42.5 seconds left in regulation against the Stars on Saturday, allowing the Predators to win their eighth straight road game to open the season, but told the Tennessean they’re not satisfied with their overall production with the man-advantage.“We’re not happy with the way it’s going right now,” He said. “It’s something we want to change as soon as possible.” Gerard Gallant didn’t consider pulling Marc-Andre Fleury as another game and perhaps the Vegas Golden Knights‘ Stanley Cup hopes slipped away. The struggles and another pile of Washington Capitals goals are on the entire team. Gallant couldn’t pull all his players at once.”There was nothing that he could have done,” Gallant said.As the face of the franchise and its backbone on the ice James Van Riemsdyk Jersey Womens , Fleury did just about everything to lead the expansion Golden Knights to the Cup Final with a .947 save percentage that made him the playoff MVP front-runner. In four games against Washington, Fleury has allowed 16 goals on 103 shots, a pedestrian .845 save percentage that speaks as much to Vegas crashing back down to earth as a team. There is plenty of blame to pass around for the Golden Knights as they face a 3-1 series deficit that no team since the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs has overcome in the final. Vegas needs Fleury to be better and his teammates to improve in front of him in Game 5 on Thursday night or they will watch their opponent celebrate a championship their home ice.”When you’re a goalie you don’t want to get scored on,” Fleury said. ”There was a lot of that (in Game 4). It’s never a good feeling. It’s a team game. Everybody’s trying hard out there, trying to help me out. We’ll find a way to make it work.”It’s not working right now. The Capitals’ strategy of making lateral passes to get Fleury moving side-to-side is proving effective at even strength and on a power play that’s scoring at a 26.7 percent clip.Forward Alex Tuch said staying out of the penalty box is one necessary improvement, but it goes beyond that. Vegas has ridden Fleury to this point and now has to cut down on the high-danger scoring chances he’s facing and too often allowing to turn into goals.”Play better defensively,” Gallant said Tuesday. ”There’s too many guys staring at the puck carrier, and we’re leaving the back side open too much. Make sure we’re paying attention to the guys behind the puck and away from the puck. Marc will make the save on the guy shooting the puck. We’ve just got to make sure we’re taking away the passes.”Fleury didn’t make the save on Devante Smith-Pelly on the doorstep in Game 4 as the Golden Knights fell behind 3-0 despite one of their best periods of the series that featured James Neal’s inexplicable shot off the post facing a wide-open net. As Gallant pointed out, Fleury had little chance on others as Washington put up six goals in a blowout .Golden Knights players can’t help but feel like they’re letting ”Flower” down.”We have the best goalie in the league and he’s been carrying (us) the whole year along and we feel like the goals … there’s not much you can do on those,” center Pierre-Edouard Bellemare said. ”This is the frustrating part.”Fleury acknowledged falling behind 3-1 was demoralizing. But the 33-year-old refuses to say fatigue has been a factor for him or his teammates.”I think everybody’s fine Matt Cullen Jersey Womens ,” Fleury said. ”It’s the same for their team, also. They’ve been through the same season, same playoffs. Being tired is no excuse.”The Golden Knights have lost three games in a row as they near the end of an otherwise-charmed inaugural season. Perhaps Fleury has one more stand-on-his head, stop-everything game left in him in front of the home fans in Las Vegas, but the Golden Knights will need more than a singular effort from their goalie.”Not where we want to be, that’s for sure,” Fleury said. ”Nobody’s quitting. We’re going home. We’ve had some success there. We just have to focus on period at a time, you know? Don’t think too far ahead. Just play our game, see where that takes us.”—More Stanley Cup coverage: https://apnews.com/tag/StanleyCupFinals—

He stopped 40 shots in Thursday’s 5-2 victory at Boston and followed it up with a 37-save shutout in Saturday afternoon’s 2-0 win over Carolina.“When you’re in a situation where things haven’t gone as you’d like, for guys to be able to come in and make an impact on the team is really important,” New Jersey coach John Hynes said.Because of Blackwood’s performances, the Devils have a chance at getting three straight wins for the first time since allowing four goals during a season-opening four-game winning streak. The Canucks have won their last seven games when he scores and 8-0-1 in the last nine games when he registers at least one point.“We got away with a game where we didn’t play our best, but we trust each other and we have the confidence to be patient,” Pettersson said. That’s how we won in overtime, but it was hard. The first shift I was gassed and then I almost had a breakaway, but you get a lot of space to use your skill.”Brock Boeser also scored and has eight goals this month and 14 overall. Five of his goals are in the last eight games and Boeser totaled eight shots on goal Saturday.New Jersey has won the last seven meetings since a 2-0 loss at Vancouver on Nov. 25, 2014. ST. Robert Thomas had a pair of assists, and Jake Allen made 26 saves as interim head coach Craig Berube earned his first win since taking over after Mike Yeo was fired on Monday night. The Blues scored the first two goals of the game and never trailed, splitting a home-and-home with the Predators after losing at Nashville on Wednesday. But it was two fights, one between the Blues’ Pat Maroon and Austin Watson and the other between Schenn and Hartman in the game’s first 75 seconds that set the tone.“You should have heard our bench,” Schenn said. “A lot of emotion on our bench. It got us going. I think last game, we played hard, we were physical.”Nick Bonino and Ryan Hartman scored for the Predators, who had their three-game winning streak snapped. Juuse Saros was pulled in favor of Pekka Rinne after giving up five goals on 15 shots.Barbashev finished on a give-and-go with Jordan Schmaltz that resulted from a Miikka Salomaki turnover, giving the Blues a 1-0 lead midway through the first period. It was the first time in six games that St. Louis got the opening goal Adidas Mike Hoffman Jersey , a streak that dated to Nov. 10.O’Reilly made it 2-0 Blues with 6:51 left in the first, marking St. Louis’ first multi-goal game in their last five contests.“We stuck with it the whole time,” O’Reilly said. “We shot pucks, we were physical and we got them back on their heels thinking a bit and we kept rolling with it. It was Nashville’s first shot on goal.“They had a coaching change and we knew they were going to come out hard, especially at home and we didn’t match that tonight,” Predators defenseman Roman Josi said.Schenn answered 67 seconds later on a breakaway to make it 3-1 Blues.Sanford gave the Blues a 4-1 lead 46 seconds into the second off a feed from O’Reilly. Keenan Allen and Melvin Gordon were terrific as usual, but the injury that knocked Hunter Henry out for 2018 (ACL) opened up some targets for Austin Ekeler, and he delivered. "We don't focus on the magnitude of the division. We know if we take care of our business, things will work out for themselves. It's another opportunity this week to do what we desire to do."The first-place Steelers (4-2-1) have won three straight after a 1-2-1 start. Their last loss came Sept. 30 against the Ravens at Heinz Field, as the Steelers converted 2-of-12 third downs and rushed for just 19 yards in that game."I don't think there would be any player that would say they felt like they played their best game," Steelers' offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner said. "And when we had a chance to look back through it, we were pretty critical of what we did and what we didn't do. It was a pretty good eye-opener."The Steelers offense has found its stride since then, while Baltimore (4-4) has lost three of four. But the Ravens have experienced past success against the Steelers in Baltimore. The Steelers beat the Ravens 26-9 last season in Baltimore. But prior to last season's win, the Steelers lost the previous four games and five of their last six road games against the Ravens dating back to September 2011.Brown has just 40 receptions for 427 yards and one touchdown in eight games at Baltimore. That's an average of five catches and 53 yards per game for the four-time All-Pro.Brown, who leads the league this season with eight touchdowns, has never had a 100-yard game against the Ravens in Baltimore."It's a tough place to play," Fichtner said. "There's great fan support and it's loud. They get excited playing in their crowd. Snap-count is always an issue. We've had some big games there in my past 12 years here. It's an exciting place to play."Roethlisberger owns a career completion percentage of 64 percent, but he's completed just 57 percent of his passes in Baltimore.Roethlisberger, who ranks sixth in the league in passing yards this season, has never had a 300-yard game in Baltimore. Roethlisberger enters Sunday's game against the Ravens with a broken index finger on his non-throwing hand. He sustained the injury at some point in Pittsburgh's home win against Cleveland last Sunday.Roethlisberger fully practiced Thursday and Friday."Ben's a tough guy, and he's been through a lot," Brown said. "He's one of the toughest ever to do it. You don't see him complaining. This guy's a warrior."Brown hopes the Steelers can pick up an important victory on Sunday at a place where wins and yards have been hard to come by."It's a hostile environment with fiery fans," Brown said. "It's one of those environments you love to excel in. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to go out and compete this weekend."NOTES: Steelers CBs Coty Sensabaugh (toe) and Artie Burns (ankle) are both questionable for Sunday's game, while OT Marcus Gilbert (knee) is doubtful. Sensabaugh fully practiced on Friday, while Burns left practice early with his ankle injury. Matt Feiler will start at right tackle for the second straight week if Gilbert cannot play.
